La secundaria Santee ubicada en Los Ángeles, California (EEUU) creó el primer baño neutral de género para la diversidad sexual de su institución.
Esto a fin de disminuir el acoso que sufre la comunidad, Lesbiana, Gay, Bisexual y Transgénero (LGBT) en esa localidad.
Después de dos meses de colectar más de 600 firmas, de reunirse con administradores del plantel y de exponer la idea a sus compañeros, el club Alianza Gay-Straight (GSA) de Santee logró que el instituto aceptara abrir sanitarios “neutrales” de género para estudiantes LGBT.
Estos baños, que abrirán en unos días en el segundo piso del plantel y mostrando en su puerta solo el símbolo de un inodoro, también servirán como solución a la violencia escolar a otros alumnos que se sientan amenazados.
