The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, ratified its condemnation of Nicolás Maduro’s regime for the violation of human rights in Venezuela.

In a statement published on Wednesday, Uruguay informed its full support to the Draft Resolution, presented by Peru on behalf of some member countries of the Lima Group at the UN Human Rights Council, which requests to extend the mandate of the mission investigating the events in Venezuela.
Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou insisted that his government will continue to reject Maduro’s dictatorship.
